Specifically mage stuff (potions, robes, sometimes jewellery) can be sold to any of the magic vendors - eg the court wizard in Dragonsreach, or pretty much anyone important in the College of Winterhold. If you have a merchant who can teach you skills, you can easily increase that merchant's gold by a lot, especially if it's skills like speech that level slowly. The best way to sell high end stuff is to combine it with buying skills. Others include: Arnleif and Sons Trading Company in Markarth Gray Pine Goods in Falkreath Pawned Prawn in Riften Sadris Used Wares in Windhelm. I'm sick of using the exploit "save your game, kill the merchant and reload your gamesave" trick. Welcome to Skyrim where it's above and beyond that! ![]() There are many things that irritate me about this game and this merchant bullshit with never having enough gold to sell my high-end items to is at the top of my list.Ī very basic, frequently repeated activity such as selling loot should never be a tedious, unbearable pain in the ass process, especially in a game of this magnitude. ![]()
